Senior Associate, Insurance Litigation — Melbourne

An established opportunity for a Senior Associate to join a national complex liabilities, insurance and regulation team based in Melbourne. The role involves leading and managing complex insurance and commercial litigation matters, including inquests, institutional liability and sensitive claims across state and federal courts.

You will work in a collaborative, high-performing environment, supervising junior lawyers, providing strategic and commercially focused advice to corporate, government and not-for-profit clients, and appearing as a solicitor-advocate where appropriate. The team uses modern legal technology and AI-driven tools to support efficient delivery.

• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in insurance and disputes litigation, including exposure to inquests, institutional liability and sensitive claims.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure in Victorian and federal courts and experience managing litigation files from instruction to resolution.
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior lawyers, instruct counsel, and communicate complex and sensitive matters clearly.
• Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail and client relationship skills.
