Senior Associate — M&A / Private Equity, Sydney

Senior Associate opportunity in a busy M&A team, focused on private capital transactions for sponsor and corporate clients. You will lead deal workstreams on domestic and cross‑border buyouts, growth investments, exits and restructurings, and work with a senior transactional team across complex, high‑value mandates.

The role involves drafting and negotiating key transaction documents, coordinating due diligence, advising on structuring and completion mechanics, mentoring junior lawyers and supporting business development. The team uses modern legal technology, including AI tools, to improve efficiency and client service.

• Australian practising certificate with approximately 5+ years PQE in M&A and/or private capital.
• Practical experience on private equity/private capital matters (investments, buyouts, exits, restructurings).
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across complex transaction documents.
• Commercial judgment, ability to manage multiple workstreams, and proven team‑oriented communication skills.
