Experienced conflicts and legal-ethics attorney needed to manage firm-wide conflicts clearance and professional responsibility issues for a large, global practice. The role leads new business intake conflict reviews, prepares waivers and engagement documentation, advises fee-earners on rules of professional conduct, and maintains conflicts processes and policy.

The position requires close collaboration with attorneys across practice groups, training firm personnel on conflicts and ethics, and administering ethical screens and client engagement reviews. Work is high-volume, deadline-driven and requires strict confidentiality and sound judgment.

J.D. and active admission to the New York Bar (or admission to the jurisdiction where based)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a large law firm conflicts/ethics or related practice
Deep knowledge of conflicts-of-interest rules and ability to apply them across corporate, finance, litigation and other practice areas
Strong research skills (corporate ownership, SEC filings, database research) and proficiency with conflicts/checking systems
Excellent written and oral communication; ability to draft waivers, engagement letters and guidance
Proven discretion and ability to handle confidential high-profile matters
Experience training attorneys and developing conflicts policies and procedures
