A leading global law firm seeks a Solicitor to join its Band 1, award-winning Class Actions and Dispute Resolution team in Melbourne. The team is consistently ranked at the top of the market by major legal directories for class actions and dispute resolution.

The role offers the chance to work closely with leading partners and lawyers across local, national and international offices, supporting domestic and international clients on class action matters and complex commercial litigation — including commercial and corporate disputes and contentious regulatory investigations and enforcement matters.

You will take responsibility for handling files, identifying issues and proactively delivering solutions, contributing to exceptional client service, and playing a key role in business development projects with existing and new clients. The position offers extensive client exposure, significant learning opportunities, and membership in a highly motivated, collaborative and innovative team.

An Australian or New Zealand practising certificate
2+ years' legal experience
Demonstrable experience delivering technical advice on commercial litigation or class action matters, gained at a leading national or international private practice firm or in-house
An excellent academic record with strong legal skills and a practical mindset
A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of a market-leading, supportive team
Ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously
Excellent communication skills and a collegial team approach
A hunger to learn and develop, and an innovative, curiosity-driven mindset (including interest in AI and emerging technologies)
