Join a national Health, Care and Public Law team as a qualified solicitor focusing on Court of Protection and mental health work. The role sits within the regulatory arm of the team and offers exposure to advisory and regulatory matters across the health and social care sector.

You will work alongside senior colleagues on a varied caseload, advising NHS bodies and other care-sector organisations on matters such as mental capacity, deprivation of liberty, care arrangements and medical treatment decisions. The role includes client-facing responsibilities and opportunities to support business development and training activity.

  • Qualified Solicitor (Newly Qualified to c.2 years PQE)
  • Prior experience or demonstrable interest in Court of Protection and/or Mental Health work (essential)
  • Experience from training contract seats or paralegal work in CoP/MH desirable
  • Confident client-handling skills with experience engaging NHS stakeholders and clinicians
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; able to handle sensitive, complex matters
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach with commercial awareness
  • Team player with willingness to collaborate across a wider health practice
