Join a national Specialist Liability team handling civil claims against police and other public bodies, including false imprisonment, assault, misconduct and human rights matters. The role offers a mix of pre‑litigation and litigated work with opportunities to broaden into related areas such as abuse, discrimination, deprivations of liberty, misfeasance and inquests.

The team operates on a hybrid basis across multiple English & Welsh locations; candidates based anywhere in England & Wales are encouraged to apply. You will be given substantive responsibility on files, supported by senior colleagues and access to induction and ongoing training.

1–8 years' PQE in civil litigation (Police/public‑body claims desirable)
Proven experience running fast‑paced police claims for one or more police forces
Good working knowledge of false imprisonment, Human Rights Act and PACE
Solid litigation experience including drafting court documents and preparing for trial
Ability to manage sensitive disclosure, proof witnesses and work to tight deadlines
Detail‑conscious, commercially aware and able to work collaboratively or on own initiative
Comfortable with a hybrid working pattern
