Apply in confidence →Join a nationally recognised public‑sector policing team acting for police forces on civil protective orders and operational advice. This remote‑first role involves preparing and running urgent applications that directly protect vulnerable people and reduce risk.
You will manage a high‑volume caseload end‑to‑end, draft applications and bundles, conduct advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court, liaise with counsel, and provide practical operational guidance to police clients. The role is busy and fast‑paced, with hearings primarily in Brighton and occasional travel as required.
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ – 5 PQE)
- Experience or demonstrable interest in police law, civil protective orders (e.g. DVPOs, SPOs, SHPOs)
- Court advocacy experience preferred; support available to develop independent advocacy
- Able to manage a high‑volume caseload, prepare bundles, and work to tight deadlines
- Self‑motivated, organised, and committed to safeguarding vulnerable people
- Must be able to pass required police vetting and meet residency criteria
