An opportunity has opened for a Solicitor to join a market-leading Australian Work Health & Safety practice, based in Melbourne. The team is close-knit and highly regarded, with a strong culture of professional growth and development, and acts for many of the country's largest businesses.

The role spans the full spectrum of WHS work and is equal parts advisory and litigious. Advising clients across proactive risk management and Board and executive duties sits alongside high-consequence workplace investigations, prosecutions, coronial proceedings, inquests and public inquiries. The practice also handles a range of specialist safety regimes, including heavy vehicle, rail safety, dangerous goods and electrical safety laws.

You will work closely with senior lawyers across a national team and partner with clients on safety compliance frameworks, contractor engagement models and governance systems — structures that are often adopted on a whole-of-industry basis. There is strong scope to contribute to client training, thought leadership and the firm's pro bono practice.

Admission to practice in Australia or New Zealand
Experience as a Solicitor in work health & safety or relevant regulatory law, gained in private practice, government or in-house
Excellent academic results and a commitment to continuous learning
Strong communication skills and a drive to develop within a leading practice
