Join a national commercial law firm's tax team as an Associate / Senior Associate based in Brisbane. This newly created role offers a mix of front-end advisory work (income tax, CGT, GST, private ruling applications and duties) and back-end controversy (ATO reviews and audits, notices of objection, tribunal and Federal Court appeals).

You will work on large, complex matters across deals, projects and disputes, with mentoring from experienced tax practitioners and exposure that will accelerate development towards an autonomous tax adviser role.

  • 2–3 years post-qualification experience in tax law
  • Experience in specialised tax advice and tax controversy (ATO audits, objections, tribunal/Court matters)
  • Strong technical research and drafting skills; ability to analyse facts and identify issues
  • Qualified lawyer with practical legal experience; familiarity with document management and legal research tools
