Apply in confidence →Leading US law firm is seeking a 3rd–5th year technology transactions attorney to join its Technology Transactions group. The role is open in the firm's Palo Alto and New York offices and focuses on commercial technology work and IP licensing across high‑technology clients.
Work will center on drafting and negotiating complex licensing and commercial agreements, including software, cloud/hosting, content, partnering and technology transfer arrangements, with frequent exposure to transactions involving artificial intelligence deployments. The role is transactional only and does not involve IP litigation or prosecution.
The team regularly advises on transactional privacy, compliance and evolving regulatory issues related to AI systems. The environment emphasizes professional development, pragmatic, commercially focused advice, and collaborative teamwork.
- 3–5 years post-qualification experience in technology transactions or IP licensing
- Documented experience drafting and negotiating complex licensing agreements (software, cloud/hosting, content, partnering)
- Experience counseling on agreements involving AI deployments or related technology transactions preferred
- Familiarity with transactional privacy, compliance or regulatory issues related to technology
- Strong commercial judgment, drafting skills, analytical ability and ability to manage/prioritize multiple matters
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; commitment to learning and contributing to practice training
