An Am Law 50 firm seeks a junior associate to join its transactional U.S. ERISA practice in Chicago. The group advises lenders, financial institutions and private investment funds on ERISA compliance issues arising in complex financing transactions, including fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance transactions, bridge loans, and syndicated and bilateral financings — both domestic and cross-border.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, writes clearly and thinks analytically, and brings strong academic credentials together with sophisticated transactional law firm experience.

The role is based exclusively in Chicago and requires Illinois bar admission. The position follows a hybrid arrangement combining in-office attendance on designated anchor days with remote flexibility on other days.

One to two years of experience (JD 2025–2024) in a sophisticated transactional law firm setting
Interest in ERISA compliance issues arising in complex financing transactions
Strong writing, analytical and detail-orientation skills
Excellent law school academic credentials
Admission to the Illinois bar; role based exclusively in Chicago
