Appellate Litigation Associate — Washington, DC

We are seeking an appellate litigation associate to join a national litigation team in the Washington, D.C. office. The role focuses on federal and state appellate work, briefing and oral-argument preparation, and collaborative representation on high-stakes matters.

The team handles complex, precedent-setting appeals and works in a fast-paced environment requiring strong written advocacy, rigorous research, and careful judgment. Candidates will join a collegial group and be expected to manage significant assignments with senior lawyers and contribute to litigation strategy.

Salary range for the role is $310,000–$435,000 (listed range).

• 5+ years post-qualification appellate litigation experience
• Excellent academic record and strong legal writing skills
• Prior appellate litigation experience (brief drafting, research, oral-argument preparation)
• Federal appellate clerkship or equivalent judicial experience strongly preferred
• Superior analytical ability, attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to manage complex assignments in a team setting
