A top-ranked serious and catastrophic injury team is seeking a motivated Associate to join its Manchester office. You will support the investigation and management of high-value cases for a diverse range of external clients, working directly under a Partner and Legal Director.

The team specialises in large loss and catastrophic injury claims arising from motor, employers' liability and public liability incidents, spanning cases of the utmost severity including brain and spinal injuries, amputations, polytrauma, severe psychiatric injuries and chronic pain. Matters can be sensitive and high-profile, and many involve cross-border quantum investigations supported by international offices.

Clients include major composite and motor insurers, London market insurers, corporates and third-party administrators. The team takes a modern, collaborative approach — avoiding unnecessary lawyering and focusing on efficient, innovative solutions supported by in-house R&D and technology. Hybrid and full-time.

NQ to 5 years' relevant experience in a legal support or litigation role (guideline only)
Experience in defendant personal injury litigation
Ability to prepare medical chronologies
Experience arranging expert appointments and conferences with counsel
Experience supporting large cases within a team environment
Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
