We are seeking two Associates (0–2 PQE) to join a busy commercial development and investment team in Birmingham. The role focuses on high-value, high-profile commercial property and investment work across logistics, industrial, retail, office and strategic development projects.

Day-to-day work will include acquisitions and disposals (freehold and leasehold), conditional land contracts, structuring development transactions and heads of terms, pre-lettings and lettings, sale and leaseback, and real estate aspects of development financing. You will be drafting and negotiating contracts and related deeds, conducting title investigations, managing searches and Land Registry/SDLT applications, and supporting project delivery from site assembly to post-completion formalities.

The role is predominantly office-based with hybrid working options. There are opportunities to work with sophisticated clients and senior specialists, take ownership of matters, contribute to business development and sector initiatives, and progress through structured training and development programmes.

Qualified solicitor with 0–2 years PQE in commercial real estate/development and investment matters
Practical experience of drafting and negotiating purchase contracts, transfers, leases and related deeds
Comfortable performing title investigations, searches and Land Registry/SDLT processes
Strong commercial judgment, project-management skills and ability to manage a caseload to tight deadlines
Good communicator, team player and willingness to support business development and client-facing activities
