We are seeking a non-contentious construction lawyer to join a market-leading, Tier 1 ranked construction team in Manchester. This is an opportunity to work on complex construction, development, regeneration, energy, utilities, process and engineering projects for major private companies, central and local government and other public sector bodies.

The role offers significant autonomy and client engagement, with responsibility for your own matters (with supervision) and support on more complex matters. You will draft and negotiate a wide range of construction and engineering contracts, including JCT, NEC and bespoke agreements, and advise on procurement strategies and dispute avoidance. You will also assist in pitching for work and managing client relationships.

The team is supportive, motivated and down to earth, working collaboratively to deliver innovative solutions. You will have the chance to play a central role in the continued expansion of the practice.

2–5 years' PQE in non-contentious construction matters, with a focus on real estate development
Confident stakeholder manager, able to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Excellent procedural and document management capabilities, with strong drafting skills
Efficient diary and task management across a range of matters
Inquisitive and commercially minded, with a desire to understand clients' drivers
