Associate — Corporate (M&A) Tokyo

A well-established Tokyo-based independent law firm is seeking a corporate associate to join its M&A practice. The role offers regular involvement in cross-border and domestic transactional work within a full-service practice group.

The successful candidate will work on deal execution, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, and coordinate with other practice teams as needed. The team values technical excellence, commercial judgment and collaborative client service.

• Admission to practice in Japan (bengoshi) or equivalent qualification
• Practical experience in corporate transactions / M&A (transactional drafting and negotiation)
• Strong academic and professional references; attention to detail and commercial mindset
• Ability to work in a team on high-volume, deadline-driven matters
