Join a leading international firm’s Tokyo corporate team as a Bengoshi Senior Associate focused on private equity and M&A. The role involves working on high‑profile, cross‑border transactions advising global and domestic private equity sponsors and corporate clients on inbound and outbound investments into Japan.

You will take a lead role on complex deals—drafting, negotiating and coordinating Japan‑related aspects of multi‑jurisdictional transactions—while collaborating with colleagues across the firm and building client relationships. The team offers structured training, early responsibility and exposure to market‑leading transactions across sectors such as renewables, technology, healthcare and real estate.

Qualified Bengoshi in Japan
4–8 years post‑qualification experience with strong M&A and/or private equity transaction experience
Proven cross‑border deal experience and exposure to auction processes and complex execution structures
Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills; fluent Japanese and strong English
Commercially minded, able to manage competing priorities and mentor junior lawyers
