Associate — Corporate (Tokyo)

Leading Tokyo office seeks Japan-qualified associates to join its corporate practice handling cross-border and domestic transactional matters. The team advises a broad client base on M&A, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions across multiple industries.

We welcome candidates from diverse legal backgrounds (private practice, public sector, in-house) who can contribute to a high-volume, technically sophisticated practice. There is also an opportunity to focus on knowledge‑management related work for candidates with an interest in that area.

• Qualified as an attorney in Japan (required).
• Prior experience in corporate transactional work (M&A, joint ventures, or related corporate matters).
• Strong drafting, negotiation and commercial judgment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary, high‑volume team; English proficiency desirable.
