Associate — Corporate (Transactional) — Tokyo

Leading Tokyo practice is recruiting entry-level associates to join its corporate transactional team. This role is aimed at candidates who have recently taken (or are preparing to take) the Japanese bar exam and are seeking early-career transactional experience in M&A, corporate advisory and related commercial matters.

The team offers on-the-job training, regular supervision and exposure to cross-practice matters. You will work closely with senior lawyers on client-facing transactions and internal firm projects in a collegial office in central Tokyo.

• Recent bar exam taker or candidate preparing for the Japanese bar exam
• Strong interest in corporate transactional work (M&A, commercial agreements)
• Excellent Japanese language skills; professional-level written and oral communication
• Team-oriented, strong academic record and attention to detail
