Global law firm is seeking a 4–5 PQE Employment Associate to join its Australia practice. The role covers a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work advising multinational and local clients across sectors on workplace conduct, restructures, incentive schemes, employment documentation and immigration-related matters.

Responsibilities include conducting internal fact-finding and investigations, advising on compliance with local employment laws, supporting transactional employment work (due diligence, warranties and transfers), drafting contracts, policies and settlement agreements, and working with regional correspondent firms. The position will involve both court/tribunal defence work and advisory matters across multiple industries.

  • 4–5 years PQE in employment law (Australia-qualified preferred)
  • Proven experience on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including internal investigations
  • Experience at a large-scale international or regional top-tier firm (or equivalent exposure)
  • Strong drafting skills — contracts, policies, settlement agreements and employment-related transaction documents
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage multiple matters and liaise with regional counsel; adaptable and client-focused
