A leading New York finance group is seeking a mid-level associate with four to six years of finance experience to join its secured lending practice.

The role focuses on secured lending transactions, with an emphasis on Uniform Commercial Code matters — particularly Article 9 secured transactions and Article 8 investment securities. Day-to-day work includes reviewing security documentation, advising clients on personal property security interest issues and structures, and reviewing and negotiating security interest opinions.

The associate will also monitor developments in the UCC and related laws and contribute to the group's knowledge management materials, supporting finance attorneys as well as lawyers across other transactional and non-transactional practice areas.

The position offers a hybrid work model with in-office presence Monday through Thursday, remote flexibility at specified periods, an enhanced mentorship program for lateral attorneys, and an extensive pro bono program.

Four to six years of finance experience
Expertise in various types of secured lending transactions
Familiarity with drafting and negotiating security interest opinions
Interest in developing expertise in UCC issues, including Article 9 secured transactions and Article 8 investment securities
High level of academic achievement
Solid law firm experience preferred
