An opportunity has arisen for a derivatives associate to join the global markets group of a major international law firm in its New York office. The role sits within the firm's finance and banking practice.

The successful candidate will handle all stages of a transaction, from term sheet and negotiation of transaction documents through to closing and post-closing work. In advisory matters, the associate will analyse issues, draw on the firm's expertise resources and prepare initial views and advice before engaging with senior colleagues. The position involves direct client contact and collaboration with colleagues across the firm's international network.

This is a full-time, permanent role. Hybrid and flexible working options are available.

Mid-level New York qualified derivatives lawyer
Experience in credit derivatives and structured credit transactions
Knowledge of the US regulatory regime and bankruptcy issues in derivatives, digital assets and related transactions
Strong organizational skills and transaction management experience
Excellent academic track record
Experience of cross-border work
Excellent client relationship and business development skills
High attention to detail
