Restructuring & Bankruptcy Associate — New York

A leading law firm's Securities & Public Advisory department is seeking a junior to mid-level bankruptcy and restructuring associate to join its New York office. This role sits at the intersection of transactional and litigation-driven restructuring, with substantial exposure to large, complex matters pursued both in and out of bankruptcy.

The incoming associate will represent creditors — with a particular emphasis on secured creditors — across the full spectrum of restructuring engagements, from negotiated and transactional work to contested proceedings and Chapter 11 cases.

The position is based in New York and is offered at the junior to mid-level. Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.

• 3–6 years of post-qualification experience in bankruptcy and restructuring
• Prior experience at a major law firm
• Track record on large restructurings, both in and out of bankruptcy
• Experience representing creditors, especially secured creditors
• Exposure to both transactional and litigation aspects of restructuring
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in a U.S. state bar
