Senior associate role in a national regulatory practice focusing on CFTC matters. The team advises clients on compliance with the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations, with substantial work involving digital currency and other emerging markets.

Day-to-day responsibilities include legal research and drafting on CEA/CFTC issues, preparing regulatory filings and no-action requests, reviewing business models for registration and compliance, and collaborating on cross-disciplinary matters spanning transactional and litigation work.

The role offers regular client interaction, participation in pitches, and opportunities to work across offices on novel regulatory matters.

  • Minimum 3 years of direct CFTC/CEA experience (law firm, in‑house, or relevant regulatory agency).
  • Hands-on experience with DCM compliance issues (including prediction markets) and familiarity with registration categories (DCO, DCM, FCM, IB, SD).
  • Fluency in digital currency regulatory matters and strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines; excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Membership in the state bar where the candidate will be located required; SEC regulatory experience is a plus.
