A leading international law firm
Apply in confidence →Experienced privacy and cybersecurity lawyer sought for a career-associate role in a multi-office U.S. practice. The position sits within a national team advising on privacy, data security, incident response, and artificial intelligence governance across federal, state, and international frameworks.
The role emphasizes substantive client work—policy and program development, transactional and product counseling, contract drafting and negotiation, and incident and regulatory response—while offering a non-partner career track with reduced annual hours compared with traditional partnership paths. Opportunities are available across multiple U.S. offices.
- 4–6 years' post-qualification experience in privacy, cybersecurity, AI, or data-protection matters at a law firm or in-house.
- Experience with major privacy frameworks and laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, BIPA) and negotiating privacy/security contract terms.
- JD required and admission to the state bar of the office where the candidate will be located.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, project-management, and client-facing skills; familiarity with AI governance and relevant technical concepts preferred.
- CIPP/US, CIPT, CIPM, AIGP, or other IAPP certifications a plus.
