Mid-level associate role in a national employment and labor practice, based in the Pittsburgh office. The position focuses on defense-side class/collective wage-and-hour and employment litigation, agency charge defense, and counseling employers on workplace policies and compliance.

Typical responsibilities include managing and defending class and collective actions and individual employment claims in court, administrative proceedings, arbitration and mediation; counseling and training clients on discrimination and other employment issues; and coordinating case strategy and discovery.

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 3+ years of class action or collective action defense experience in employment or wage-and-hour matters
  • Admitted to and in good standing with the Pennsylvania bar
  • Experience acting as lead counsel on employment litigation matters
  • Familiarity with state and federal administrative enforcement practices
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and project-management skills
