A full-service Am Law 100 firm is seeking an attorney with at least two years of experience to join its Commercial Litigation practice in its Akron, Ohio office. The role focuses on complex commercial litigation and large class action defense.

The position involves defending institutional single-family rental and build-to-rent companies across a range of defense litigation matters, including fair housing claims, state Attorney General investigations, employment disputes, and national operational compliance issues. The attorney will handle all phases of litigation — drafting and reviewing pleadings, legal research and analysis, motion practice, and oral advocacy.

Superior writing ability, strong analytical and research skills, and excellent communication skills are essential. The role is offered on a hybrid working basis, and the firm provides competitive compensation with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) with employer match.

At least 2–15 years of experience in commercial litigation and large class action defense
Demonstrated experience across all phases of litigation, including pleadings, legal research, motion practice, and oral advocacy
Experience representing institutional SFR/BTR companies preferred
Admission to the Ohio Bar required
Admission to the Alabama Bar is a plus
Superior writing, analytical, research, and communication skills
