Apply in confidence →Six-month fee-earning contract within a busy Public Inquiries, Inquests & Public Law team based in the London office. The role requires office attendance and is available to start immediately; the post will be remunerated via a competitive day rate paid through an umbrella provider.
You will support statutory and non-statutory inquiries, inquests and related public law matters, working on complex disclosure, evidence management and judicial review issues. The role involves advising inquiry teams and witnesses, leading document-heavy review exercises, and contributing to large-scale, multidisciplinary project delivery.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a litigation-focused solicitor who is comfortable managing sensitive, high-stakes work and supervising junior colleagues in a collaborative team environment.
- Qualified solicitor (SRA or equivalent law society registration)
- Approximately 2–3 years' post-qualification litigation experience
- Proven litigation and project management skills, including large-scale disclosure/e-disclosure experience
- Excellent drafting, legal judgment and the ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive workstreams
- Available to start immediately (short notice preferred) and able to attend the London office
