Apply in confidence →Growing technology-focused practice seeks an associate with 4–7 years’ experience advising on privacy, cybersecurity and data-protection matters. The team counsels a broad range of clients across emerging companies, technology, financial services, life sciences and media, handling counseling/advisory matters, transactional privacy work, incident preparedness and response, and regulatory or investigative matters.
The role is open across multiple US offices; successful candidates will be able to lead client engagements, manage significant projects, and produce high-quality analytical work and drafting. Strong academic credentials and excellent writing and interpersonal skills are required.
- 4–7 years post-qualification experience in privacy/data protection and cybersecurity advisory work
- Practical experience with CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and other US/state privacy laws
- Experience with data breach and incident response planning and execution
- Experience conducting privacy/security due diligence and drafting data processing agreements and privacy schedules for transactions
- Excellent legal research, writing and client-facing skills; strong academic record
