Join a national data privacy and cybersecurity practice as a mid-level associate based in San Francisco. The role offers hands-on counseling across privacy, security and AI governance matters for clients across industries, including incident response, compliance, cross-border transfers and contract work involving data sharing.

This is a partner-track position for a candidate who will lead substantive privacy engagements, support regulatory responses and investigations, and collaborate on privacy aspects of transactions. The team handles a mix of U.S. and international data protection frameworks and advises on emerging AI and automated decision-making regulation.

The practice values pragmatic, client-focused lawyers with strong drafting and communication skills and experience helping organizations build and operationalize privacy and security programs.

3+ years post-qualification experience advising primarily on data protection and cybersecurity matters
Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
Practical experience with CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and other U.S. state privacy laws; familiarity with HIPAA, FCRA, GLBA, COPPA, TCPA and related regimes
Experience drafting privacy notices, incident response plans, data processing agreements, and negotiating vendor/service provider agreements
Experience handling regulatory inquiries, breach response, and privacy due diligence for transactions
IAPP CIPP (U.S. and/or EU) strongly preferred; strong writing and client-service orientation
