Department Attorney — Subrogation & Recovery, Charlotte

Senior-level litigation role on a national subrogation & recovery team based in Charlotte. The position focuses on evaluating and handling large property claims, coordinating investigations and experts, and managing client reporting in a non-billable-hours, standard-hours environment.

Primary responsibilities include triaging large losses (closing nonviable matters with client approval), developing theories of liability, overseeing retainment and direction of experts, and identifying claims suitable for recovery. The team represents insurers and other industry stakeholders in complex property recovery matters.

• Minimum ~2 years' experience handling insurance claims, construction claims, or commercial litigation
• Juris Doctor and active law license in good standing in the resident state
• Experience evaluating large property losses, coordinating experts, and preparing client-facing reports
• Strong legal research, writing and interpersonal skills
