Apply in confidence →Growing employee benefits group seeks a mid-to-senior level ERISA and executive compensation attorney to join its New York office. The team advises employers, sponsors and asset managers on pension, health and executive pay matters and is regularly engaged on sophisticated, cross-disciplinary work.
The role offers exposure to a broad mix of matters, including qualified retirement plans (including 401(k) plans), nonqualified deferred compensation (Section 409A), multiemployer plans, pension de-risking, benefit plan governance, and employee benefits aspects of M&A and investment matters. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm and have direct client responsibility.
- 5+ years of employee benefits/executive compensation experience (ERISA and Internal Revenue Code expertise)
- Deep technical knowledge of qualified retirement plans and nonqualified deferred compensation (409A)
- Strong drafting and communication skills; ability to translate technical issues into practical client advice
- Admitted to the New York bar or eligible for admission/waiver
