7+ years of employee benefits experience with health and welfare plans
Experience with HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, mental health parity, cafeteria plans, flexible spending accounts, severance plans, and related compliance and counseling work
Top law firm experience or a combination of law firm and in-house experience
Excellent academic credentials
Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Admission to the Illinois Bar (or the ability to waive into the Illinois Bar)
