Top-tier law firm seeks an Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits associate to join the Chicago office. The role focuses on advising employers on complex compensation and benefits matters across transactional and corporate contexts.

Work will include support on change-in-control situations and related work arising in public and private equity transactions, bankruptcies, asset sales, IPOs and financings. Experience representing public companies on executive compensation disclosure is preferred.

The position offers exposure to high‑stakes matters and collaboration with senior deal and benefits lawyers on cross‑disciplinary projects.

  • 3–6 years of post-qualification experience in executive compensation and employee benefits
  • Experience with compensation and benefits issues in transactions (change-in-control, M&A, financings, restructurings)
  • Public company disclosure experience preferred
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills; ability to work on fast-paced, transaction-driven matters
  • Juris Doctor and active bar admission or ability to obtain admission
