Join a national financial institutions team in Washington, D.C. as an associate advising banks, fintechs, payment platforms/processors and crypto firms on banking regulatory and compliance matters. The role offers substantive exposure to regulatory counselling, supervisory responses, transactional support and enforcement matters.

The team handles a broad range of issues under federal banking statutes, consumer protection regimes, and anti‑money‑laundering and sanctions frameworks. You will work with cross‑functional teams advising on regulatory strategy and compliance programs for covered financial services clients.

  • 3–6 years post‑JD experience advising financial institutions, fintechs or payment firms
  • Prior experience at a bank regulatory agency, law firm, or in‑house team preferred
  • Knowledge of federal banking laws (e.g., Bank Holding Company Act, National Bank Act, Fed statutes) and related regulations
  • Experience with consumer protection regulations (EFTA/Reg E, TILA/Reg Z, FCRA, ECOA/Reg B) and UDAAP considerations
  • Familiarity with AML and sanctions regimes administered by OFAC/FinCEN
  • Strong drafting, analytical and client‑facing skills; experience on supervisory, transactional or enforcement matters
