Apply in confidence →Top-tier international law firm seeks a mid-level associate for its Financial Institutions practice. The role focuses on regulatory and compliance work for banks, fintechs, payment platforms, processors and crypto companies across a range of matters.
Typical engagements include advising on federal banking statutes and regulations, consumer financial protections, anti-money‑laundering and sanctions compliance, supervisory interactions, transactional regulatory support, and enforcement responses. The team works closely with government, technology and business stakeholders.
- 3–6 years post-JD experience in bank regulatory, compliance, or financial services practice (law firm, regulator, or in-house)
- Experience advising banks, fintechs, payment processors or crypto firms on regulatory matters
- Familiarity with federal banking laws and related regulations (e.g., Bank Holding Company Act, National Bank Act, Federal Reserve Act, FDIA)
- Knowledge of consumer financial protection statutes and regulations (EFTA/Reg E, TILA/Reg Z, FCRA, ECOA/Reg B) and state UDAP/UDAP-like rules
- Experience with AML/sanctions regimes (OFAC, FinCEN) and supervisory/enforcement processes
- Strong drafting, research and client-facing communication skills
