A leading international law firm

Apply in confidence →

An experienced health and safety lawyer is sought to join a leading national law firm with strong international capabilities, on a fully flexible, national basis. This is a growth hire for someone with an established client following, ideally advising large corporates on contentious and advisory health and safety matters.

You will play an instrumental role in developing and growing the health and safety practice, building long-term client relationships, collaborating with colleagues across the UK, and contributing to the firm's strategic growth. The role offers a clear pathway to partnership for a senior associate ready to step up, or a fresh challenge for an established partner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and growing client relationships, with a focus on large corporate instructions and panel work.
  • Delivering high-quality, commercially focused advice across the health and safety and regulatory landscape.
  • Collaborating with teams nationally and supporting cross-selling opportunities.
  • Providing leadership, mentoring, and support to develop talent and future leaders.

The firm is accredited as a Top Employer UK and has been recognised for 19 consecutive years, with top rankings in Chambers UK. It fosters an inclusive, people-first culture where you can develop your career and thrive.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong market credibility as a senior health and safety specialist with a demonstrable client following.
  • Confidence in leading matters, winning work, and strengthening long-term client partnerships.
  • A collaborative approach and an appetite to build a national practice with firm-wide backing.
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with substantial health and safety experience.
  • Established client following and strong market credibility.
  • Proven track record of leading matters and winning work.
  • Ability to develop and mentor junior talent.
  • Willingness to travel and collaborate across national offices.
