Experienced knowledge-lawyer role within a busy Private Client department, supporting trusts, wills, probate and related tax matters. The post combines technical legal work with a strong focus on business development, thought leadership and the practical implementation of regulatory and legal developments affecting private client work.

The role will work alongside the existing Knowledge Lawyer to deliver precedents, training and guidance, lead innovation initiatives (with a particular emphasis on AI and legal technology), and help raise the department’s external profile through publications and presentations. The post is suitable for part-time/flexible working (examples include c.0.6 FTE).

  • Qualified private client lawyer with c.7+ years PQE or equivalent experience in trusts, wills, probate and related tax issues
  • Proven legal drafting and precedent-management experience; familiarity with research tools and common office software
  • Strong interest and demonstrable engagement with innovation and legal technology (including AI) and ability to work with IT/innovation teams
  • Experience in producing thought leadership, client briefings and training materials; good presentation and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and project-management skills; able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to support business development activities and contribute to departmental BD strategy
