Seeking a mid-level associate to join a national labor & employment transactional team that sits at the intersection of employment law and corporate deal work. This role focuses on employment issues that affect transaction value, leadership transitions, and post-closing integration.

You will partner with corporate deal teams, private equity sponsors, and in-house executives on high-stakes matters, including diligence for M&A and investments, drafting and negotiating executive employment and separation agreements, and advising on restrictive covenants and executive mobility.

The role can be based in Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Chicago, or Dallas and offers exposure to fast-moving matters where strategic judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive personnel issues are essential to client outcomes.

3–6 years of post-qualification experience in labor & employment law with a transactional focus
Experience supporting employment diligence in M&A, private equity, or similar corporate transactions
Proven drafting and negotiation experience: executive employment agreements, separation arrangements, and restrictive covenant provisions
Comfort advising corporate clients and private equity sponsors on executive mobility, post-transaction integration, and sensitive personnel matters
Strong judgment, client-facing skills, and ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional deal teams
