Leading law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Energy and Environmental practice in the Chicago office. The role will focus on advising energy-sector clients and infrastructure sponsors on transactions, regulatory and environmental matters.

The team handles a mix of transactional and regulatory work across traditional and renewable energy projects, permitting and compliance, and infrastructure development. The role requires a senior lawyer who can lead matters, supervise junior lawyers, and work closely with cross-functional teams.

There is an expectation of active business development and client relationship management to grow the practice in the Midwest market.

Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
Established experience in energy and environmental matters, including transactions, permitting, compliance, or project development
Proven track record of originating and leading client engagements and supervising teams
Admission to practice in Illinois or ability to become admitted
