Lateral Partner, Tax & Energy — Portland

Experienced tax partner sought to lead and grow an energy tax practice in the Portland office of a well-established law firm. The role will focus on providing sophisticated tax advice to energy-sector clients, handling complex transactional and structuring matters, and advising on regulatory and tax implications across conventional and renewable energy projects.

The successful candidate will play a senior client-facing role, originate and expand business, and help develop a team of associates and counsel. This is an opportunity to shape a visible practice group and work on cross-practice matters with corporate and finance teams.

• Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
• Partner-level experience in tax matters, with a strong focus on energy-sector work
• Proven business development and client origination track record
• Excellent leadership, team management and mentoring skills
• Admission to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction or ability to obtain it
