Short-term interim roles on a global consultant platform supporting client-facing and embedded in-house assignments across the UAE and wider Middle East. Assignments are typically six months (often full-time in Abu Dhabi/Dubai) with some flexible arrangements.

The role involves advising on the full spectrum of competition/antitrust matters: designing and implementing compliance and risk-management frameworks, managing merger control filings across jurisdictions, handling investigations and regulatory engagement, and tracking developments such as foreign subsidies regimes.

Opportunities span sectors including energy/renewables, construction and financial institutions (retail/wholesale banking, payments, asset management, fintech and digital platforms). Successful candidates will be supported by an experienced delivery team and access to training and knowledge resources while on assignment.

  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in competition/antitrust law.
  • Experience at a top-tier law firm for competition work; recent in-house experience preferred.
  • Practical experience with merger control filings, antitrust investigations and designing compliance programmes.
  • Experience in or knowledge of the Middle East/GCC market preferred; Arabic language skills advantageous.
  • Consultant mindset: flexible, client-focused, able to work independently and manage priorities on fixed-term assignments.
  • Valid practising certificate or equivalent entitling you to practise in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
