Senior commercial disputes role within a nationally-ranked Commercial Dispute Resolution team based in Birmingham. This full-time, permanent position is hybrid and reports into the local disputes leadership, offering clear progression toward partnership for a strong candidate.

The role involves managing a varied caseload across litigation, arbitration and mediation, working closely with partners and colleagues nationally, and leading business development and precedent development initiatives. Occasional travel to London for client meetings, counsel conferences and hearings is expected.

The team advises a broad range of clients on high-value contractual disputes, professional negligence, public procurement, insolvency-related matters, reputation and media issues, and provides strategic, commercially focused dispute resolution services.

Qualified solicitor (SRA or Law Society registered) with senior-level experience in commercial dispute resolution
Proven track record of managing a caseload including litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution
Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers
Demonstrable business development and client-relationship skills
Excellent communication and strategic advisory skills; confident engaging with clients and stakeholders at all levels
Willingness to travel domestically as required; comfortable working in a hybrid model
