Experienced professional indemnity lawyer sought to join a national PI team based in Manchester. The role involves leading on complex, high-value PI claims for insurer clients, advising on coverage and defence strategy, and working closely with colleagues across a UK and international insurance platform.

Responsibilities include managing matters from inception to resolution (litigation, mediation and settlement), supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, supporting business development activities, and contributing to the strategic growth and delivery of the national PI practice.

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law qualification)
Significant post‑qualification experience in professional indemnity/PI insurance, ideally from a leading insurance, commercial or disputes practice
Strong technical knowledge of PI policy wordings, coverage issues and claims handling
Proven ability to manage complex, high‑value matters autonomously and to handle client relationships
Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers; interest in business development and practice growth
