Life Sciences Licensing Associate (Mid-Level) – New York

An Am Law 20 firm is seeking a highly qualified mid-level associate to join its Life Sciences group in New York. This role focuses on intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and other technology transactions for clients in the life sciences sector.

The associate will draft and negotiate a range of agreements—including patent and trademark licenses, joint development and collaboration arrangements, strategic alliances, technology licenses, SaaS and services agreements, and distribution agreements. The position also involves IP and technology transaction due diligence in support of corporate transactions and technology transfers.

Candidates should have experience working both in teams and independently managing substantial components of transactions. The firm values outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in intellectual property licensing, technology transfer, and technology transactions
• Experience with IP and technology due diligence for corporate transactions in the life sciences arena
• Drafting and negotiating IP licenses (patent and trademark), joint development, collaboration, strategic alliance, technology licenses, SaaS/services, and distribution agreements
• Ability to manage substantial components of transactions independently and work collaboratively in teams
• Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly)
