Apply in confidence →A leading global law firm is seeking a non-client-facing M&A Resource Attorney to support its corporate practice group. This role is designed to enable practicing attorneys to work more efficiently by developing, organizing and maintaining the group's legal resources, forms, precedents and knowledge materials. The attorney in this position does not work directly with clients and does not bill time.
Responsibilities include managing a transaction database, drafting and managing template documents and precedents, monitoring legal and regulatory developments relevant to M&A, and preparing summaries and alerts. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams on legal education content for associate trainings, supporting marketing and business development efforts through content creation, and fielding day-to-day attorney requests for precedents and resources.
The ideal candidate will bring strong drafting and organizational skills, a solid grasp of public and private M&A, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties and market trends. This is a collaborative role, working alongside a senior resource attorney and collaborating with knowledge management, legal education and marketing stakeholders on evolving practice innovation initiatives.
- Licensed attorney with at least 7 years of experience in a US M&A corporate/transactional practice
- Familiarity with public and private M&A, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties and market trends
- Strong drafting and organizational skills
- Attention to detail for form document drafting and quality control
- Flexibility to support evolving resource initiatives and multiple ongoing projects
