Of Counsel — Employment Litigation, Grand Rapids

Well-established national labor & employment practice seeks an Of Counsel to join its Grand Rapids office. The role focuses on defending employers in litigation and agency matters and providing counseling, training, and preventative employment-law advice.

Responsibilities include managing and trying employment-related lawsuits and agency charges, representing employers in court, arbitration, mediations, and administrative proceedings, and supervising junior attorneys and staff. Class/collective action experience is a plus.

• JD from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials
• 9+ years of employment litigation experience with significant first-chair trial and case-management experience
• Active Michigan bar admission in good standing
• Experience supervising associates and paralegals and delegating work
• Knowledge of state and federal administrative procedures, excellent oral and written communication, and strong project/time-management skills
