Partner, Municipal Law — Ottawa

Well-established national practice is seeking a lateral partner to join its municipal and public law team in Ottawa. The role will handle planning & development, expropriation and broader municipal law matters across the region and support a compact group currently focused on municipal liability and public-sector work.

The team is open to experienced partners at different career stages — from mid-career partners with demonstrable origination to very senior hires (including those seeking a final move) and service partners who add specialist capability. New laterals typically join on an income-partner track before progressing to equity.

• Significant municipal law experience, including planning & development and expropriation
• Proven ability to lead files and supervise junior lawyers
• Experience advising public-sector or municipal clients on liability and regulatory matters
• Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
