Patent Associate – Engineering (Intellectual Property)

We are seeking a patent prosecution associate with 1–4 years of law firm experience to join our Intellectual Property practice. The role is open across multiple offices, and the position will focus on preparing and prosecuting patent applications for clients in a broad range of technical fields.

Ideal candidates will hold patent bar membership and a background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials sciences, artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML), or a related discipline. A demonstrable interest in the life sciences, whether from industry or educational experience, is strongly preferred.

Advanced degrees and prior patent agent experience are preferred, and we are looking for candidates with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills as well as superior academic credentials.

• 1–4 years of patent prosecution law firm experience
• Patent bar membership
• Background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials sciences, AI/ML, or a related discipline
• Demonstrable interest in the life sciences (industry or educational experience) strongly preferred
