Patent Litigation Associate — San Francisco

Leading international law firm seeks a patent litigation associate to join its San Francisco office and work on high‑profile technology disputes. The role involves managing patent litigation matters across the lifecycle, including drafting contentions, leading Markman preparations, and handling written and oral fact and expert discovery.

The position requires close technical collaboration with engineering teams, regular partner and client interaction, and the ability to handle complex issues for large technology companies. The team handles cross‑border and multi‑jurisdictional matters within a global litigation platform.

• Minimum ~3 years of patent litigation experience
• Technical degree in engineering, computer science, applied physics, mathematics, or equivalent technical background
• Juris Doctor (ABA‑accredited) and active U.S. bar admission
• Demonstrated experience with claim construction (Markman), preparing contentions, and managing fact and expert discovery
• Comfortable discussing technical issues with engineers and interacting directly with partners and clients
